Share your favourite book

What was your favourite book as a child?

What were the books that soothed you, that made you laugh, that were your friends?

One great idea that will help your child (and you), is to revisit them at the library, and then share them with your child.

Your child will experience your emotional response to the book, and you’ll not only share a special moment, but it may help him to see what an amazing thing a book is.

Thanks to Michele for this great idea.

  2. Joyce – when I was about ten years old, my Uncle Don bought me a hard cover Winnie the Pooh book and I cherished it for as long as I can remember. Unfortunately, I lost it somewhere along the way.
In high school, I read (three years in a row) a book called, "They Loved to Laugh" by Kathryn Worth, borrowed from the school libraby. Last summer I was at a used book store in town with my sister and I thought about the book and remembered how much I enjoyed it. They didn't have it, so I ordered it and now I have it for as long as I want. I read it again and enjoyed it just as much.
Yeah, you guessed it, I'm am an avid reader and my first granddaughter loves to "read" books with anyone who will.
    Take care.
